Hi Chain! 🙂 I just noticed this post & because I’m not tech savvy at all, I wasn’t sure what it meant. So I Googled SSL Connection. This is how it was explained.
What does an SSL connection do?
SSL is standard technology for securing an internet connection by encrypting data sent between a website and a browser (or between two servers). It prevents hackers from seeing or stealing any information transferred, including personal or financial data.
Sooooo, if I’m understanding this correctly, Buzzen has got a great security system & can’t be hacked?! Well if so, this is fabulous news & I thank-you! :-*
*** BY the way, is this something new or has it been this way all along?

The Buzzen website (where you login, view profiles and stuff) has had SSL for a long time. The chat server has just been upgraded to include it. SSL (https in the address instead of http) is just a layer of security to keep data private. We are continually working on ways to make things more secure and protect users of Buzzen.
