There was the same challenge then, too. Many homes, yet only 5 are on the list. 100’s of people but only a percentage in those 5 homes. At the time those rules were penned and discussed our corner of Gor didn't have hundreds of people in it. In all honesty it didn't have more than 2-3 times what it has now, if even that many. Those 5 homes were the largest/most influential of the time, and being led by men who had their finger on the pulse. We set an example by putting aside our differences in the interest of something better for everyone in the community. There's a reason we did it this way and not with representatives--

We set that example in the hopes that our effort, through good faith and actual progress might have more impact than the half dozen attempts to bring everyone together that fell through. It's a noble effort, but it's proven to be a misguided one, half blinded by the stars in the eyes of fools who think this community is a single entity. It isn't. What's more is that by the end of this experiment the division will be even more pronounced than it was, as we learned years ago. --

Most people already knew how to behave, already knew certain rp practices are bad, and what punishments are for breaking those guidelines. I didn't have a problem with that group, and i still wish it well. But I've been around long enough to have seen this sort of revamping and indirect necroposting to know how it's going to eventually end. They might work a few things out in there that'll help, and i wish it more success, but history tends to repeat itself. I left that group recently. >>>

of that when I see her again. The idea behind the group was a good-natured one, but some of the people weren't. Toss me in there if you want, the poisonous ones will. I do hope that it at least partially succeeds in its mission, and some of those vague, hard to understand existential issues get hammered out. And i posted the link to your site, Judas, but it barely rippled the water much. They saw it as possible guidelines for what they wanted to do. Not actual rules. Weird, eh?

I'd rather leave it alone entirely. The guidelines we have are fine, it's the people that changed. As a group they're uneducated and /or lazy. I see no reason to dumb down what works just fine so people don't have to learn and maintain standards on how to behave.
