The night was filled with restless sleep and haunting dreams with images of beasts only known by legend, awakened by strange sounds and animal cries in the night and yet as I gained my wits I saw the beauty of the place where I rested and a strange calm engulfed me, I am alright I thought and ready to continue my journey.

It did not seem right to leave this place as if I could remain here for a long time but I forced myself to walk toward the mysterious light that soon was encompassed by darkness….I walked up the only path out upon rocks and flowing water, strange I thought that the large rocks were not covered by moss nor slippery when walked upon…

I can feel rather than see for the shadows are deep…but I know something is following…watching…perhaps even stalking me as I move through the tall trees and swampy water…darker and darker it covers me like a blanket…and caution becomes my companion.

It has been slow going perhaps only a pasang each ahn and at least 3 ahn has passed and still the creature follows me and still the deep dark swamp surrounds me. A sigh of relief escapes my throat as I see a clearing up ahead with outlines of shapes yet to be determined…perhaps a place where I might find those who live in this Island.

As I stepped out into the clearing I discovered not a residence of the living but an untended graveyard with many stones and one wrapped body upon a well etched coffin. I could not read the words on it for it was a language I am not familiar with…but I read them anyway…making sounds in attempt to form the words. AahhhNuee Gottie…no it did not make sense…so I walked carefully through this place to see what lies beyond…What I discovered next was very strange and disheartening…
