Iuncta in perpetuum cum Agrit

Had he wanted average, ordinary, conventional, he'd of chosen someone far far different than me.

Yes he does always win.

*

I am Mánon Valeria Veris, civis Romanus and of patricius familia.

Nuptus sum ad Senator Agrit Aemilius Acutus. In aedes Iovis Optimi Maximi Capitolini nos nupsit, deim VII Kal. quintilis (24 June), annum consules Titus Annius Rufus et Gnaeus Octavius (128 BCE).

I am an artist.

I create.

I take risks

I push boundaries.

I find inspiration in sights and sounds. In swirling whispers gracefully flowing garb of a woman, a man's sandaled snapping strde on the smooth stones of the via's of Romae. I find my visions in myriad singing colors. Breathing softly, exhaling stretching gently, contracting back again. Joining world entire, round and round in the circles of their warmth. Of welcome. Of home. Of a tender place of play. These thrill me, drive me, demanding me ever onward. Insisting I give the very best of my gift. Its expressions revealed: elevating the consciousness of a staid garbed roman society clothed instead in water colored dawns and dazzling sunset shades of fabrics and jewels, threads and flawless pristine pleats.

My endless quest for expression takes me to the farthest reaches of the known world. Along the hi ways and long forgotten by ways. To those crowded spaces in placed you'd never think to look. I return with the very finest fabrics and jewels, dyes, threads, and exotic perfumed oils. These treasures are fashioned into clothing, jewelry, and footware too. Priceless scented oils for the discerning. Textiles and cloth into works of art for private spaces and public places. These journeys are beautifully blended with the travel responsibilities of Senator Agrit Aemilius Acutus.

It is said the quill is mightier than the sword. Those who utter such nonsense have never met my sica.

Kept in a delicate woven leather harness exquisitely crafted, my sica, 24 unica in length, rests companionably between my shoulder blades during my travels. In those rare instances I am alone, it is close at hand. Always.

Untroubled by societal conventionalities, if I must engage in combat, I do so. Unencumbed.

Currently traveling the African Continent with Dramps & Drara, Leggs & Casus, This & That.
