* Kilirniku Our animals were rested and well fed, our gear had been inspected and mended and for the most part neatly stowed. A few odds and ends of daily living were yet to be packed. there would be time for that after sleeping; tonight we would bathe each other, we should share a good meal, we would make love taking our time to fulfill each other and ourselves numerous times.

* Melete they were thoroughly enjoying the slower pace of their day, finding a quiet pleasure in the stretches of time when there was little to be done and no immediate demands upon them. Their frozen cavern of rock and ice had become a comfortable refuge, its familiar surroundings made warmer by the fire, their furs, and their insatiable hunger for each other.

* Kilirniku We would collapse upon one another exhausted and satiated, panting, sweating, dripping of each other. My senses exploded with uncontrolled chaos as we lost ourselves with each other

* Melete nestled atop her Master, her body deliciously heavy with exhaustion and her breathing as she savored the warmth of his skin against hers. One hand rested upon him, her fingertips tracing idle patterns as a contented smile curved her lips in her sleep.

* Kilirniku Many times something of me, whatever it may be called, departed this plane of existence to dwell with her in a place where we became one.

* Melete her body finally quiet as the last of its humming faded and her mind slowly drifted back from whatever distant beyond she had wandered lingering somewhere between sleep and awakening.

* Kilirniku I had awakened with the light brush of soft hair brushing my nose, I thought Nuqi was waking me to show me something she found curious. When I first opened my eyes, it had taken my mind to process and make sense of what I was seeing. A smile crossed my face as my senses began to understand that Melete still lay atop me. Those ticklish whiskers I had expected to see twitching on a cold wet black nose, were not. I had fallen asleep with Melete's warm slick thighs draped over my throat, that soft ticklish fur was her own. I had been utterly exhausted by the woman; she was a ravenous thing, and several times we had fulfilled our desires; our needs for each other, with our mouths. It was after such a moment that I had fallen asleep with her perched upon my lips as she writhed and choked herself around me.

* Melete stirred at the subtle shift beneath her, a soft sound escaping her as she slowly surfaced from sleep, her dark hair spilling in tangled waves across his chest. Still caught somewhere between dreams and waking, she nestled instinctively against the warmth of her Master, seemingly unconcerned with the position in which they had fallen asleep. Her eyes remained closed a little longer as she savored the comfort of their shared furs, in no particular hurry to greet the day.

* Kilirniku I remembered no more until I had awakened and found it necessary to peel the side of my face from its joyous adhesion to her thigh, bonded there by the dripping, trickling, oozing blending of our shared climaxes.

* Melete finally stirred, a faint furrow forming between her brows as she shifted her legs and slowly blinked her chocolate-brown eyes open. A sleepy smile found her lips as she looked down at her Master, her fingers wandering lazily through his hair while she remained comfortably sprawled across him. "Mornin my Master"

* Kilirniku We had prepared ourselves, we had eaten, and made love, and slept. It was now time to observe the sky to learn the position of the Moons. We have shared and enjoyed all things with each other here in the circumference of our sheltered hideaway. Soon, I would be using her as bait, and sending her to pick a fight in the dark.

* Melete remained curled comfortably beneath the furs beside my Master, my body relaxed and my mind pleasantly quiet as I enjoyed the warmth of our sheltered cavern. There was something wonderful about these unhurried moments together, and I snuggled closer to him with a small, contented smile, in no hurry whatsoever to leave the comfort of our furs

* Kilirniku I grunted as I pushed and peeled her warm soft flesh from my own as I shifted beneath her. My eyes caught sight of my brand upon her ass, I laughed softly and flickered the tip of my tongue against the smooth curve of her ass as it formed from her thighs. I rolled and tumbled her from atop me. "Dress yourself woman. We must see the stars, and you must scream again bait"

* Kilirniku I sat up and crawled from the furs and the small shelter. I yawned and stretched and shook myself in the cooler air of the enclosed cirle of stones.

* Melete stiffened at his words, my contented smile fading as I met his gaze and whispered, “Yes, my Master,” though the word bait left an unpleasant little knot twisting in my belly. I hurried to dress in my winter hunting clothes, layering each piece against the bitter cold while a frown settled stubbornly upon my face, even as I made certain I was ready to follow his command.

* Kilirniku I began to dress myself, layering myself first with soft fur pressed inward upon my skin, and with other heavier layers facing outward away from it. This arrangement worked well in providing warmth and weather resistance. When I whipped you and the Kurri answered, do you remember the sound of it's voice? Can you match it's pitch?"

* Melete watched my Master layer himself against the cold, then tugged my own furs and outer garments into place, making certain everything was secure before facing the elements. My frown lingered as I wondered just what sort of screaming he had in mind for his bait, then I heard his question.
Melete: I do not know but I can try my Master

* Melete finished dressing and pulled the hood of my long coat over my head, tucking stray strands of dark hair out of the way as I prepared to follow my Master into the cold. A shiver ran through me, and it had nothing whatsoever to do with the bitter elements waiting beyond our shelter.

* Kilirniku Selecting a large and tall torch, I thrust it into our fire lighting it as I spoke to Melete. "Bring your bow, and an unlit fire arrow."

* Melete “Yes, my Master,” I whispered, turning to retrieve my bow and one of my fire arrows, leaving it unlit as commanded. I checked my gear before straightening, my frown returning briefly beneath the shadow of my hood as I wondered what he intended

* Kilirniku I lifted the flaming torch, gripped my spear and looked to my woman, my blue green eyes sparkling brightly only a moment before growing dark and cold beneath a sternly narrowed brow. I studied her in slience for a long moment before speaking "you must scream, it must be loud and long and shrill. Come, you are going to pick a fight."

* Melete lifted my eyes to his, studying the stern set of his features as I considered his command, my fingers tightening around my bow while the unlit fire arrow rested ready in my grasp. I drew a slow breath beneath my hood, wondering what sort of encounter awaited us in the darkness, then stepped toward him, prepared to follow.

* Kilirniku I moved outside of our stone enclosure and studied the terrain. My eyes roamed, searching for a precipice with a long and wide view of the valley ahead I led her in climbing higher along the cliffside trail.

* Melete followed close behind my Master along the narrow cliffside trail, keeping my footing sure upon the uneven ground as the cold air slipped beneath the edges of my hood. My gaze wandered across the darkening valley below, alert to our surroundings as I climbed after him

* Kilirniku Finding a suitable ledge high among the dark ice frosted cliffs I paused and studied it closely. It was a small but wide shelf of smooth stone upon which boulders had fallen from above to break the shelf beneath them or to land and settle and remain.

* Melete stopped beside him, my dark eyes following his gaze over the rocky shelf as I waited quietly to see what he had in mind.

* Kilirniku With the light of the large and tall torch I illuminated the tallest of the icy boulders near the edge of the shelf where everything beyond them fell away again for unknown distance before crashing into the darkness below. "Up there."

* Melete followed the direction of his torch, studying the icy boulder he indicated before shifting my bow securely over my shoulder. Testing the stone beneath my boots, I began to climb, using the rough places in the rock to find purchase while keeping my balance against the bitter wind. Once I reached the top, I turned to look down at my Master, waiting for his next instruction.

* Kilirniku I took a readily defensible position before her with the brightly burning torch held in my left hand and braced against my heel while likewise my right hand and heel retained my heavy hunting spear. Here I would remain; to watch and listen to the darkness, and to protect the woman I sent to scream into its depths.

* Melete turned toward the vast darkness beyond the ledge, peering into its depths as a shudder traveled through me, though I could not tell whether it came from the cold or the uncertainty of what lay below. My fingers tightened around my bow, and the longer I stared into that seemingly endless blackness, the more my unease began to sharpen into anger. I drew a slow breath, forcing myself to remain still while I tested the surface I stood on carefully.

Kilirniku :Scream woman, Find it in yourself, and release it. Call it, Listen for it. When you hear it, light your arrow and send it high into the sky in that direction. Watch and see where it falls. at first light we will search for it and follow its course.'

* Melete scuffed at the icy surface with my boots, stomping until I had cleared enough of the slick crust to give myself firmer footing upon the stone. I glared into the night, my jaw tightening as anger simmered beneath my skin at being placed in this position, though I understood the purpose behind it. Curling my fingers more firmly around my bow, I lifted my chin toward the darkness and prepared myself for what I must do.

* Melete drew in a slow breath, staring into the vast darkness as his words settled over me, my fingers tightening around the bow until my knuckles paled. I searched within myself, finding the anger simmering beneath my ribs, the frustration, the fear, and the ache of being so far from everything familiar, until it all tangled into something sharp and restless in my throat. I lifted my chin toward the night and unleashed a long, shrill scream that tore from deep within me and rang out across the frozen valley.

* Kilirniku I fell silent and watched the night along the cliffside trail which alone isolated us. I held the torch and spear steadily as the whistling wind battled with the flames in shadows and light around the top of the stone where she stood, highlighted as a flaming aura while she issued raw and primal screams into the blackness beyond.

* Melete stomped across the rocky shelf with unfettered rage bubbling through me, prowling back and forth as I held the notched fire arrow ready in my bow. My second scream tore from my throat, shrill and fierce, ripping through the frozen darkness as I poured every ounce of my frustration into the night.

* Kilirniku The sharpest of her scream shattered the cold around as she her breath spilled in pale vapors from her lips. I watched the trail ahead which approached us along the steep cliff. I listened the endless sound of the darkness, and saw the music of the stars written brightly across the sky in a broad sweep of harmonious beauty. "Silence woman."

* Melete stands panting, my screams for now, silenced

* Kilirniku I listened to the deafening silence of the night as the three moons shone brightly at their peak. What light would be coming now, would be coming in a few short ahns. It would be time to break camp; and to hunt.

* Melete straining my ears against the howling wind as my eyes searched the endless darkness beyond the cliff's edge. I tightened my grip on my bow, turning slowly as I listened for anything that might stir in answer to my cries.

Kilirniku: We seek now to learn this beast's mind. How it thinks, the game it plays; scream woman."

* Melete stomped across the rocky shelf, stalking from one end to the other as the vicious wind clawed at my hood and whipped my dark hair about my face. Everything inside me seemed to be at war, my anger at being placed in this position tangling with the ache of missing my trees, their familiar scents, and the shelter of their branches until I could hardly separate one hurt from another. I threw another raw scream into the darkness, my chest heaving as I fought the wind, my own frustration, and the miserable feeling of being so far from where I belonged. My boots struck the stone again as I prowled, my bow clutched tightly in my hand, every step and ragged breath betraying the fury I could no longer contain, again I screamed and again... each one louder and longer

* Kilirniku I listened to the nothingness, the emptiness, the endlessness of time. Far in the distance to what I thought was to my right I heard a long shrill answer. I moved the flaming torch toward her easy reach with my left hand.

* Melete followed the direction of my Master's torch with my eyes, searching the darkness beyond the ledge for any sign of movement before throwing my head back and releasing another shrill scream into the night. I screamed a second time, the raw sound carrying into the valley as I strained to hear beyond the restless howl of the wind, waiting for whatever might answer.

* Kilirniku somewhere in the darkness, I heard a distant scream.

* Melete threw my head back and released another shrill scream into the darkness, then fell silent, straining to hear beyond the restless howl of the wind. My eyes widened as a distant, guttural scream answered from far across the valley, its eerie cry rising faintly from the blackness before fading into the night. I turned sharply toward the sound, every sense suddenly alert as I searched the distant shadows for its source.

* Kilirniku I listened and watched, waiting to have a direction to reference.

* Melete turned toward my Master, moving swiftly to bring the tip of my fire arrow to the torch's hungry flame until it caught and flickered brightly against the wind. Pivoting toward the distant scream, I raised my bow, took aim into the vast darkness, and loosed the flaming arrow high into the night in the direction from which the answering cry had come. I watched its fiery arc cut through the blackness, my breath held as I followed its flight toward the unseen source.

* Kilirniku I watched her arrow streak into the sky and begin to fall as its height crested splitting the darkness into two halves
