I thought I could. I was determined - that I could. At this moment, I am not sure.
If I thought performing soliloquy, not interacting with many people and "bantering" with the typists on the blogs was enough, I would be able to.
If I thought the fresh wind that filled my sails and the sails of others would last longer than what - a couple weeks - I would be able to.
As more activity happens, more of the old community returns. I'm excited to interact with them and set out proving I can move forward unscathed by the pitfalls of the past becuase everyone's "learned", and will surely not want chat to return to the Margin of Desolation this venue had become. I'm not ashamed to admit I was pretty stoked about it and set off to make my way. I'm more than a little frustrated at the moment.
I am the last person to espouse "past is the past" as a way to conduct roleplay, I think it's dangerous when people forget the typists' behind the character might not have their best interests at heart. Can we try -
"PERSONAL AGENDA RELATED TO THE PAST HAS NO RELEVANCE IN CURRENT ROLEPLAY"
So. What's it gonna be - Invitations, or deterrents?
If the landscape is littered with the wreckage of past lives, who will want to navigate their way through that long enough to remain?
Oh and something else -
