icons next to Hello in chat room

the white envelope indicating buzzen mail icon, the little head icon indicating my friends and the exclamation point within a white circle icon  disappear when I click on one or the other, in a chatroom. They are still visible on my main page. I cleared cache and rebooted my computer. This did not resolve the problem. Does any one have any other suggestions and/ or resolution to his issue?

Could be a browser issue, have you tried it in a different browser to see if you get the same results?

I've not but I will. Thank you for the suggestion.

I've done everything I could, followed your directions and still nothing.
