Where The Crimson Fades

*It is not RP before any one gets their panties in a twist*

A heavy mantle of crimson drapes slowly over her shoulders, a river of molten and fire sweeps down her frame, the long tresses gather at the soft curve of her back. She tilts her head, the dark red veil hiding her expression completely as she slowly moves forward, each step light and focused. She pauses for a moment, inhaling the night air one last time before she pushes open the heavy oak door and steps inside. The wood groans as it is slowly closed behind her and she lifts her head up just enough for pale green eyes to focus on the room in front of her, taking in everything with almost innocent  curiosity. Her eyes lock on the hearth and her body glides effortlessly towards it, the pale blue silk garment catches the light of the fire as it flickers and burns, shadows dancing across the walls. As she neared the fire, she slowly melted to her knees on the soft pelts of animal furs that stretched out over the flat stones of the hearth. The warmth of the fire casts a soft glow on ivory cheeks, her hands reaching down as fingers brush against the hem of the icy blue material, smoothing it out against her thighs. A gentle smile slowly crosses her lips as her mind escapes for just a moment to the day's events, a sense of peace settling in her flesh. Even if the quiet was fleeting, it was hers and hers alone to enjoy.

The afternoon had been chaotic with crowded streets, narrow escapes and the feeling of eyes on her as she did her best to remain in the shadows yet it all seemed to melt away as she closed her eyes and exhaled slowly. She let the quiet of the night chase its own ghosts.

As relaxation took over her body, her posture softened. She leaned forward then onto her side, her hips pressing against the furs as she tucked her knees up close to the silks pooling around her like the blue sky resting along the dark earth beneath her. Resting her head against a folded arm she sighed, waves of autumn strands ripple down into the plush furs, framing her face. Exhausted she allowed herself to drift off to hopefully a dreamless restful sleep.
