I have been spoken to and approached by so many that "seek" gor, thats a interesting statement as Gor has been butchered of what was considered good quality, and realistic, Gorean RP.
so
therefore I and the other members of Asperiche, will for a period of time, offer an open invitation to any and all who want to learn more about "traditional Gorean RP". I am not saying we are all perfect, as no-one is, but what everyone in Asperiche aspires to is provide and partake in what we perceive to be, and what most of you are seemingly looking for, Traditional Gor.
All we ask is that any visitor, Free or slave, shows respect to all who are present, show respect to the Home and show respect to Gor itself. Not knowing something isn't a crime and we encourage all to ask questions, to partake in discussion and hopefully everyone will learn a little something and the community here will be better off as a whole, which benefits us all.
Asperiche doesnt have zones, it is Gor. Your actions will control the consequence.
A wise Man once said " better to be called a fool. than open Your mouth and prove it"
so come in the home, ASK questions, and maybe some can learn more
have a nice day
I still am Judas * naturally.

So I wish there was a reply to the comments of the comments in this message thingy like facebook. Anyhows, to answer Shahzadi first-- I'm really contemplating speaking about renting the bakery next to your place. I really would love to see how the appetites of Asperiche is. Plus I just know I could be purchasing other items to the shop keeper next door. Oh and I'm sure I can tempt the owner with the "free" smells from my bakery in hopes to entice you....erm the owner to purchase a few items.
Secondly to Wamph -- Role play scenerios hmm, there are so many. A trip around Asperiche to learn about the city. I'm sure its not the same as it is in other cities. A tour of the main hall. Are they all set up the same? Does the kitchen look the same? A trip through the gardens, again are they all the same. Why not have homes give new people a look of what their city is via not a web site I can read, but actual role play. I guess we can all make it up then later be told it was all ....
incorrect. How about some shopping in the markets? Or using some NPC to interact with you and your guests as a way to make the life of Gor real upon word form. Or maybe some laughter, some entertainment of sorts. A scenario where it isn't just sitting, ordering a drink while slaves do all the work, the Free pat their heads and say good job then we sit and visit. After a while it gets really old. I'd like to see some storyline r/p. Watching others r/p and really enjoying themselves. cont.
I know there are parks in the city, maybe some strolling in the park. Looking at the ships, talking about them. Watching some young FM practicing some knife play. Some true life of what gor is presented in the word and creative form. I'm a visual person so I like details to be seen. Others are more the talking type. A good mix would be nice. One sided r/p isn't fun. Interaction in r/p is what brings us here. These are my suggestions on what good role play would be. A question to you...
What is your ideal role play scenerios? I know I know, twins!!
But you are a taken man, so that's out. So what else? What else could a FM, a warrior, want from rp?
Ohhh Yesss Yesss Yessss........Illl have what She's having, ............some fun interaction role play!!
Ditto...and lots of sales, a thief chase, catch and dispatch of justice! A regatta display in the harbor! Rowing lessons...blah...blabbidee...
Me? I'd be happy seeing people actively participating in the castes they belong to right at this moment as I think that would be a good momentum starter. I think the only ones who actively are playing a caste are merchants at the moment, Pen, Shahzadi and the like.
Warriors fight/train/spar ... Phy's get to heal them ... Builders get to build arenas and training pits ... Merchants can source weaponry and armour ... Scribes can log and record ... That is just one thing .. cont
A simple fight and the impact that can have is far spread to many people. So Castes having some value and practiced would be good for me, then the same with slaves, I think a good slave house where slaves can train and learn before being sold into homes where they will be able to put those practices into use would be good, but also homes that will actually be decent too. Personally, I believe that is the right starting point, I think what you are talking about is more generic RP in terms of cont
Storylines and engaging interactions, and I think that falls off the back of what I said above. Also, I don't believe it is down to any one person to create storylines, if a storyline needs to be started than start it.
I agree Wamph. While visiting Asperiche, Shahzadi started her own endeavor of picking flowers from the garden. All it takes is one person to start something and soon others will be catching on. I think it would be a good idea for Free to do something besides sit around and get pudgy while slaves are expected to do their "thing". We should all taken an active role in getting gor started again.
I avoid carbs so I don't get pudgy!
I would be interested in learning some fighting techniques.
There's a sign up sheet.
Wamph there are others role playing their caste even the lower caste like a Baker. I always am working my caste some how even in the beginning when I enter to when I leave. I think this is important on what you said. I agree more need to do that. I see a lot of people say they are something but I never see anything happening with it. There are many warriors I have seen with claiming a caste, but not one has had a spar or fight since I came in ermm, November I believe, so 8 months now.......
I often think people claim something and don't actually do anything with it. I've not seen much role play except as you said Merchants and Bakers! Yep I will toss me in there because I have r/ped. I have seen and been part of other's role play such as scenerios that were set up by Chaldea and a few other FW. Do the FM actually r/p in Gor? I honestly see them sitting in a place and drinking and chatting. It is the FW or slaves attempting to get some r/p started. more......
I don't mean to bag on the FM, but really they need to participate also in the r/p. We like a bit of variety in the world. If not, we women would rule Gor and it would be one hellacious party, or one extremely long spa day. I enjoyed last night visiting Asperiche and r/ping some with Thiery at the entrance of the city. You all left so Penelope and myself took over Asperiche and raided the Cozy Nook Tea shop. *grins* It was fun and we created a bit of r/p among each other, hope to again.
