Aneesha raised this idea some years ago and We had a discussion in Helisto this evening and the consensus was that a combined Gor room that A/all in Gor attended twice a month and in which A/all played T/their roles - initially at least without an HoC or even a location on Gor - would be an initiative worth exploring, What do O/others think of that idea??”

And when Ya say everyone would practice their caste, what happens if ALL get together and half just sit about? Is there a penalty or learning ops available? I suggest we base this home in Rarir, which is a small village on the Thassa about a hundred pasang north of Brundisium and 200 pasang south west of the Thassa Cartius that gives access to the Vosk. So it’s well situated geographically for roleplay purposes. It’s quite a cosmopolitan and ‘advanced’ village, having a small harbour and being close to trade routes.
The Free who enter that room are the Warriors, Builders, Scribes, Physicians, Merchants etc. of that home and their slaves remain their slaves. Initially, at least, there’s no need for an “HoC”, it would more likely be a “Head Man” anyway and he can be referred to ‘obliquely’ ... “I’ll raise that with the Head Man”. If this idea seems to be working and is well supported then some kind of election can be held. There’s no need for anybody to change their Buzzen name for the days this home will open, though it might be fun to do so.
Of course there will be differences in outlook between the “mixed bag” of Free that come together there, but I’d hope some leeway and common sense would prevail. As to “harshness”, well, let’s see how that works out.
Initially this room could open every other week and then see how it goes. For it to work I think we’ll need most, if not all, of the homes to participate as there are few enough of us as it is!

mari would like to see the 'Old Gor' for she has never experienced that, tho old and new should be the same, but apparently not. New Gor is filled with back stabbing and hatred. Hopefully this can be resolved

I guess I don't understand the purpose of this idea. I mean no disrespect, but if people want 'GOR', go to a Gor room. Any room could be like the one that is proposed here. Go to Vendara this week, Asperiche next and so on. There are a lot of rooms here and most of them are empty. I'm suggesting traveling from one room to the next and that be Gor. There's no need to make a room just for that purpose. Any room already in existence should already be Gor. Now back to your regularly scheduled show
It is a very easy room / concept to set up. Why not get it open and People start going there instead of blogging here.
The comments and opinions are all good Free and slave alike but don't leave it on the boards. If People want a Council what ever then set a blog maybe make a list of names that People may want as the Council, set 7 days to blog the replies and votes, Then open the dam room. The Council can then do what they need to *rules* wise. *******

all mari wants to do is r/p without fear....to r/p her character to her full ability and within the constraints of Gor....is that too much to ask?
Gor means "fear" in Swahili. If you're not at least a little afraid you're not playing it right.
I agree. Gor has some fear to it. The fear is part of the excitement.
I'd like to nominate, Talarius (since He brought it up) Judas and Bart for the Governing Council of Gortopia ( :P ) Not because they get along, but because they have experience and knowledge of Gor. Not that they know it ALL, but they know more than I do, and I've seen their leadership experience in action, and respect Them.
mari would wish to perform her role in Gor as befits her station . she asks no more nor expects no more. The Free should act as befits Their roles tho do They.........?
I agree with Judas. Let us travel from place to place and live in the world of Gor. But I'm still up to representing the Baker's caste.
It's not for a slave to decide how the free should act. It works the other way around though.

I would think that there should be a comm or something so people KNOW what we expect in the Gortopia, I mean each of the rooms have a different set,
I would like to be in the council.
i nominate no one ,as the differences of the past will be too much to get over ,is what i believe..so therefore we should just keep to our rooms and visit each others homes and join in the roleplay there and maybe as i have seen in Helisto etc there usually is some roleplay happening,may the Home can put up something on the Blogs and people can go in and join ,but accept the Homes Rules and ways ...Just and Idea..isnt this what we have always done ....
Shouldn't there be some names put up to vote from? I don't think anyone wants 86 guys up to nominate when there are so few to choose from really.
